Mi. 10:45 - 12:00
Mats and equipment are available at the studio.
About the class:
A gentle class for post-natal mums with or without their babies up to crawling age. We will stretch, strengthen, flow and rest. Post-natal yoga is a great opportunity to gently heal and restore alongside a supportive and welcoming group of mums. No need for a baby-sitter – bring your little one for mum-baby bonding. :-)
When to practice:
As a rough guide, from 6 weeks after birth (or 8 weeks after caesarean section) but it is important to listen to what your body is ready to do. Women with a yoga practice prior to pregnancy should be careful and not rush back into their usual yoga practice. Consult your Frauenartzt/in for advice on when to resume practising.
About the teacher:
Eleanor has been teaching yoga since 2016, after completing her training in Vinyasa Flow with Kalaa Yoga in Berlin. On discovering the power of yoga to support her own journey through pregnancy, birth and early motherhood, she shortly thereafter undertook in-depth training in pre and post-natal yoga with Yoga London. She then completed her 500 hours ISHTA training with Julie Blumenthal in 2019, which has deeply enriched her teaching. She loves to weave together elements of philosophy, meditation and pranayama to create well rounded asana practices tailored to her individual students. She strives to constantly learn from her students, and to stay curious and creative.
